Colonel Alexandra (Alex) Savalas of the Hellenic National Police was named in a newspaper article as the Warrior Detective on account of her being a crack shot, practitioner of the ancient Greek martial art of Pankration and being named after the famous warrior king, Alexander the Great. Alex reports to the second in command of the Greek national police, undertaking special, dangerous, missions to catch arch-criminals across Greece and further afield. The story culminates with a clean-up operation in which Corelli appears to have been killed in a shoot-out with his lieutenants but is he really dead? All is revealed in the last chapter.
